Our Solution to the "Quick Fix" Fitness Industry
It's easy to convince people to follow a restrictive diet and suffer through intense exercise for 6 weeks to "lose weight". But doing fitness like this all year? Forget it. Through our 10 years as a health and strength centric program, we learned this doesn't help clients get and maintain results long term. The solution was in plain sight all along. Here's our story...
"It is not fair to ask of others what you are not willing to do yourself." -Eleanor Roosevelt
What started as a career path, turned into a passion and mission. First through education at CSUF for a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology and several certifications (CSCS, NASM, CrossFit L1 & L2).. Then through experience, jumping into the fitness industry in 2007 as a personal trainer at a big box gym while experimenting with multiple popular exercise programs and diets..
CrossFit seemed to be a good solution for clients compared to the high prices of personal training or trying to do it on their own..
Prior to rebranding as Dare Strength, Daniel co-founded CrossFit Dare in 2013.

Trial By Fire
The variety and functional exercise selection aspect of CrossFit was engaging for clients but Daniel eventually realized it didn't provide enough structure. Clients enjoyed the intensity and exhausted feeling of accomplishment but unfortunately fell into a similar trap of yo-yo results like restrictive dieting and weight loss camps.
After years of experimenting with the CrossFit program to train hundreds if not thousands of clients, he took useful principles from CrossFit, strength & conditioning, bodybuilding and other effective training methods to create the current programs here at Dare Strength. All to better serve motivated but busy adults get results that last.

Dare Strength, Dare Change
Most people are surprised to hear Daniel wasn't born with a sculpted fit body, doesn't eat a perfect diet everyday, or has dealt with insecurities. He'd argue, his struggle with self confidence, self image and using exercise and food to cope with his internal conflicts, helped push through the challenges of navigating a small business so he can share the solution that worked for him... Consistent, practical exercise and nutrition principles that fit your lifestyle.
DARE - the courage to do something
STRENGTH - capacity to withstand great force or pressure
The courage to improve strength can change you physically, mentally and emotionally. But this doesn't happen overnight. Just like you gradually lift heavier weights to build physical strength, you overcome mental and emotional resistance by consistently taking the small steps that lead to big changes.

I have learned how to identify bad habits in my life that would unconsciously trigger even worse habits that prevented me from living a healthy life that I desperately craved. I grew in more ways than one, physically and mentally, from my years here.
"Welcoming to all levels, the workouts are diverse and very engaging. This is the only gym I have ever joined and consistently returned to."

"For the first time in years, I am eager for my workout days at Dare Strength!"

"The supportive community and personalized approach make it easy to stay committed and see real results. Weather you're a beginner or a seasoned athlete, Dare Strength delivers on its promise to help you achieve your fitness goals.
"working out with the other members in an environment where everyone is pushing to be a better version of themselves and working towards their own goals."

"...goes above and beyond to educate and ensure that you're safe and that you're building technique above anything else."
