Get Strong and Lean with a Safe Sustainable Solution

Our Strong & Lean Program is a general fitness program that helps you maintain strength & stamina.  You’ll drop body fat, maintain lean muscle, and improve energy when you work out in our small group classes and adjust your nutrition.

Is this program right for you?

Who, specifically, IS this program for?

Want Above Average - Average adults are not aware of how well they sleep, what they eat, how much or how well they move. A little effort, discipline, tracking and guidance can put you well above average. The older you are and less experience you have, whether you're a beginner or have experience, this program can help you.

Patient and optimistic - You can see significant energy and mental benefits from changing health habits and exercising within 4 weeks. You can see results in fat loss and muscle gain within 4-12 weeks, but it takes most people several months up to years to see significant changes. This program is for adults with patients and a long term mindset for their health.

Motivated and Committed to Improve - If you want to set a good example, build confidence, or get stronger for an active life, this program might be for you. Our structure for exercise, nutrition, and lifestyle habits, to building consistency requires tracking habits for progress and follow throughing on your commitments

Who should NOT join this program?

Looking for a quick fix - This program IS NOT a weight loss challenge. Our goal IS NOT to make you ‘sweat or work’ as much as possible with every workout.  We don’t give you a strict diet to follow for temporary results or encourage yo-yo dieting behavior.

Strength & conditioning program to improve performance - Beginner to intermediate adults can get stronger and improve stamina through… gradually challenging weights for strength and varying intervals for stamina.  But maximal intensity in heavy weights, explosiveness, or long distance performance is better coached by a performance coach.

Laziness, ego, and complainers - We understand everyone can have a stressful day, feel burnt out, and have differing personalities. Becoming a healthy and strong individual means managing your mindset and emotions just as much as your exercise and nutrition. No one is perfect but if you’re willing to put in the effort to do what you can, respect other clients’ and coach’s time, and be coachable, we can help you.

What makes this program different from other programs?

We gradually increase workout intensity through 6-weeks cycles instead of working you to your bones every workout.

We don’t give you strict “meals plan” because… we provide guidance on healthier food choices.. we coach proven nutrition guidelines for gradual sustainable progress, not temporary change.

We select scientifically proven exercises that’ll give you the biggest bang for your buck while keeping you safe (build muscle, burn calories, decrease unwanted body fat, keep you strong 20-30+ years later)… not “cool” looking exercises from social media or movements for the sake of getting you really tired and sweaty

It's Never Too Late to Start Our General Fitness Program 'Strong & Lean'?

? In your mind, you still feel 25 years old..

Your feet feel lively with the same music..

Your heart lights up spending time and enjoying food with family and friends..

You still crack up to the same corny jokes..

Your brain lights up just thinking about exploring a scenic view on vacation..

While you might think and feel this way..

? Just walking for 20 minutes, let alone dancing to music, makes your feet ache for a week..

While you might enjoy food with family and friends, your heart lights up with heart-burn, have digestion pains and bloating..

You’ll throw out your back or get a cramp if you laugh too hard..

And you get a headache just thinking about how out of breath you’ll be if you went exploring on vacation..

Ok.. these might be exaggerations for some, but a reality for many..

The point is…

❌ 1. You don’t like how your body looks and how it feels.

We can go down the list from head to toe..

Of what you see everyday in the shower, in the mirror, when you’re changing, and reflections passing by a window..

The reality is, we can help you look more like your younger self but chasing that elusive “perfect body” is a never ending hamster wheel..

❌ 2. Looks is one thing, but this affects your daily life..

How your body feels.

  • Dreading tomorrow so you don’t/can’t sleep
  • Struggling to wake up and get yourself out of bed
  • The same morning aches when you’re walking to the bathroom
  • Choosing that specific clothes because you’re feeling extra bloated
  • Getting out of breath with the slightest power walk or a flight of stairs
  • Your energy crashing in the afternoon, god-forbid on your drive home (yikes)
  • Avoiding physically active events because you don’t want to spend energy or don’t have the energy to participate
❌ 3. At the end of the day, how this makes you feel and think about yourself.. might affect you the most.

Call it self-esteem, self-confidence, self-respect, or self-value…

  • “Why can’t I just stick to this?”
  • “You just don’t have the willpower”
  • “I’ll never be able to do what they’re doing”
  • “What’s the point in starting again, I already failed?”
  • “I should have started taking care of myself long time ago”
  • “If I just had their genetics or circumstances, I’d be better off”
  • “I don’t have time(for myself), I have to do this…(for everyone else.. boss, friends, family, kids)”

⚠️ That last point might rub some people the wrong way but think of it this way…

Work is important, it pays the bills, puts food on the table and provides shelter, it might even be a great balance of purpose, fulfillment, and service.. but..

  • if you couldn’t work because you got injured, had a serious emergency… would your boss or clients be able to find someone to replace you? yes
  • if you got healthier, stronger, and had more stamina, would you be more productive, help more people and do the job you love, longer? yes

Dedicating time and energy to help family and friends is likely part of or even the main reason you wake up everyday and work so hard.. but..

  • would they understand if you spent a few hours each week to take care of your physical, mental, and overall well being? Yes! They’d probably encourage it
  • when your kids grow up, would they be mad that you spent time to take care of your health? No! They might even prefer you did
✅ What you look like..

Affects how you see yourself and how you think other people see you

✅ How you feel..

Affects how your body feels, the strength and energy you have(or don’t have) that determines if you thrive vs. survive in life

✅ Who you are..

Is the worth you place on yourself as a person, mother, father, son, daughter, friend… an individual

You want to look good and feel good.

Will this Work for Me?

If you don’t have any major health issues, this program will get you stronger, leaner and help your body feel better.

People ask if this will work for them because they:

  • ? have tried workouts or diets and didn’t see the results they expected (or were promised)
  • ? see other people exercising and dieting without “seeing” much result
  • ? think they’re different, their body is somehow different than the thousands of people that see results

Here’s the truth and great news!

Science has proven, time and time again that humans are 99.9% similar in their genetic make up ?

This means nearly all human bodies respond positively to healthy habits and exercise.

But wait…

There are so many differences..

Some people are more athletic and more muscular while others struggle to gain weight..

There are different body shapes, and some are very lean while others seem to gain weight more easily..

Don’t doctors ask about family history for certain diseases because genetics are that accurate? ?

You’re right, but these are the 0.01% minor differences

And even then, your environment plays a bigger role in expressing the genes in your DNA..

By environment it can be the air quality and chemicals near you..

But also the state of your body.. what chemicals do you allow in your body, the strength of your immune system, your general health.

Wherever you’re starting from, your body will get stronger and leaner if you stick to our program. ?

Keep reading to see how we can make this happen for you.

Who Are You and Why Should I Trust You with My Fitness?

Hi, my name is Daniel Ji and I'm the coach here at Dare Strength.

I’ve tried nearly every method or program for exercise to get stronger, lose fat, gain muscle, and be the fittest version of myself.

Starting from a shy, low confidence, timid teen to becoming obsessed with exercise and the fitness industry..

  • Comparing my body with other people (famous or not)
  • Not considering and improving my diet for years
  • Learning some hard lessons with injuries and pains
  • Lifting heavy weights I had no busy lifting with bad form
  • Years of frustration from not seeing results 'fast enough'

I dove into the rabbit hole of fitness…

Got my degree in Kinesiology, countless certifications, 15+ years as a coach/trainer, own a gym for 8+ years..

To come out the other end..

Being happy and proud of myself for improving my strength and fitness that fits my lifestyle..

Learning that building my fitness is just as much about building habits, discipline, patience, and following a system..

As it is lifting the weights, eating the right foods and recovering properly.

Keep in mind, simply my degree or certifications does not qualify me to guide you in this program..

It’s the deep research into the topic, more than a decade of experience with individuals, and my own trial & error..

That led to understanding the most important steps to take, habits to build and mindset to create for this specific goal.

How Does Our Program Compare to Similar Services?

    Personal Training

Most beginner to intermediate level adults can see significant results from a simple yet well structured program, that doesn’t require 1-on-1 attention

We’re confident we can provide just as much, if not more, value in a small group setting than personal training because most average adults benefit from consistently training with fundamental exercises rather than athletes and experts who need specific, individualized training

For services comparable to our coaching, it would cost at least $80-$100 per session(hour).

6 Weeks x 3 sessions per week would be

    $1440-$1800

    Nutrition Coaching

    - Meal plan templates are free on the internet. You can find great looking recipes, how to count your macros, and plenty of free information on the internet.

    - Prescribing a specific and strict meal plan is a big change that typically fails within weeks, and only registered dietitians are licensed to provide in our state.

    - Nutrition coaching involves working together to help make one important nutrition habit change at a time through check-ins, accountability and support when you have questions. This is how you build new habits.

    - Typical nutrition coaching costs $60-$80 per session or biweekly check-in calls or communication, which is

    $180-$240

    Self-Education

    - The basic information itself is available on the internet

    - Many seasoned coaches create programs like Strong & Lean where we gradually build strength with foundational exercises and add supersets, intervals or circuits to train stamina and add variety.. so what’s the difference??

    - The perspective, experience, and education of the coach

    - Nearly two decade of researching, learning, absorbing everything I could find about exercise, fitness and building muscle

    - The challenge with having nearly all the information you need at your fingertips (phone, computer, etc) is knowing what information is true and how it applies to you… that’s the value you pay for in a coach

Coaching aspect is focused on habits to apply to individual goals (fat loss, health metrics, more energy, etc..)

YES this is plenty worth the price
